Quando conversamos com as estrelas
Quando os anjos nos dizem Ide! e nós vamos
Quando não damos bola para os Herodes deste mundo
Quando achamos natural encontrar o Menino na Manjedoura
Quando, claramente, ouvimos a voz anunciando
Paz aos homens de boa vontade!
Quando, por tudo isso, acreditamos que depois do hoje
vem o Amanhã
Inunda-nos a certeza tão ansiosamente aguardada:
Está chegando, sempre chega, sempre chegará
o Natal!
