What is a mural? A mural is semi-permanent, either painted directly on a wall or painted on some other substrate and then permanently attached to the wall. A mural cannot be moved. A mural painted on canvas is not a mural, it is fine art; unless that canvas is permantly attached to the wall. A mural should measure at least 2m x 2m (6ft x 6ft). A mural is painted only with the permission of the property owner. A mural depicts a scene or commemorates an historic event.
