Local famoso como destino turístico de inverno, com pistas de esqui. É o ponto de partida usual para subidas do Eiger e Wetterhorn. Atualmente Grindelwald é também uma atividade popular estância de Verão com muitos quilômetros de trilhas para caminhadas nos Alpes.
